Among the Arts, Music is the most ethereal one. We don’t see music, but we feel it. Music can go beyond space and time, remaining suspended in the air. Music lives inside and outside of us, allowing us to sense and realize our feelings.

Sanremo Festival is the most important show of Italian music. In 1958, Domenico Modugno brought a revolution on Ariston’s stage, singing “Nel blu dipinto di blu”, best known as “Volare”. He spread his arms acting the text out. Modugno and his song became symbols of Italian music and culture. He showed the world what music really means.

In “Hayez!” the young Calabrian songwriter Retro has succeeded in linking love with painting and music, giving life to a deep journey within the masterpiece “Il bacio” by Francesco Hayez. Through his song, he perfectly portrayed the indissoluble bound among three different forms of arts.
